Sony Ericsson W995 Phone Review

Sony Ericsson W995 Mobile Phone
Sony Ericsson has been a solid team in the mobile phone market for years now. They have come to be aligned with quality and state of the art technology. So, does the Sony Ericsson W995 deliver us to the mobile phone promised land? Not quite, but we get pretty close to it.
The design of the Sony Ericsson W995 is not being stretched in any way. And it’s doubtful that they were looking to win any design awards. But it is a reliable phone with some good pluses. This phone is certainly in line with the Sony Walkman franchise and includes a little docking station of speakers. We found these a bit gimmicky. They work well enough, certainly an improvement over the internal speaker, but we can’t imagine who would really be carting speakers around with their phone, even if the speakers are small.
The other point of contention with the Sony Ericsson W995 mobile phone is the small 2.6 inch screen. It seems nowadays most smartphones are coming with 3 inches or better. And yes, in this case gentlemen, bigger is better. And the ladies agree.
Now before you think we’re just beating up on little ol’ Sony, there are some great features. The first of which is the ability to download up to 3 free films per month depending on your plan. This is pretty cool we must say. Additionally you get a very respectable 8 mega pixel camera too. And even though the Sony Ericsson W995’s display is small, it is crisp and visually satisfying.
