Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition S8300 Phone
The Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition S8300 mobile phone is straddling the fence in trying to accommodate two parties. Those who like the traditional use of a touch keypad and those who like the touch screen smartphone. We prefer the full-featured touch screen smartphone, but we recognize that not everyone has our preference.
And so the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition S8300 mobile phone will suit a bunch of folks who are perhaps undecided or just prefer to dial or text with an actual keypad. For them, this is a great choice. But there are some drawbacks when you try and please both camps. Primarily, one of the drawbacks on this phone is the fiddly text operation. It is still a small keypad.
Additionally we were disappointed with a lack of Wi-Fi and the use of LED for flash purposes rather than the much more capably and powerful xenon flash that is available on some phones.
Now having said that, the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition S8300 mobile phone has some nice features. It includes all the regulars that you’ve come to expect: widgets, calendar, world clock, voice memo, stopwatch, calculator with converter functions, some games and a RSS reader. This is where Samsung excels, the RSS reader is a nice feature. But so is A-GPS so you can geo tag photos on the fly. And we love the FM radio which needs to be included in many other phones.
You also get in-ear headphones included which is a help. Expect to pay around £400 SIM free, but it can be had for free depending on your contract.
