LG’s GD900 Crystal Phone Review

LG’s GD900 Crystal Phone
LG’s GD900 Crystal Phone is another one of a kind phone. LG has created the first transparent design phone. You should take a look at the photos, this is Star Trek technology in the present. And even better, this transparent screen is not gimmicky, it looks cool and it works well.
LG’s GD900 Crystal phone has a 3 inch touch screen like many of the smart phones out there, but what it has that others don’t is a transparent keyboard that lights up when opened. This phone was just recently released in July 2009 and is available exclusively through Carphone Warehouse.
Here’s how LG’s GD900 Crystal phone transparent keyboard works. Obviously it can be used as a normal keyboard to dial numbers and make calls, but it gets better than that. It is a touch sensitive controller so that you can use it as you would any touch screen. You can navigate through menus, use it to serve the web and write on it in your own chicken scratch.
LG’s GD900 Crystal phone handwriting recognition technology works well for short text, but you don’t want to use it for book reports or your thesis. Additional concerns from the outset are an unpredictable touch screen and no GPS.
So the transparent keyboard is off the chain, but this phone also has the full range of other great features too. An awesome 8 mega pixel camera, up to 32GB of storage, Wi-Fi and HSDPA for fast web surfing. Expect to pay about £500 with no contract. But you can get it for free on terms as low as 18 months.
