LG Watch Phone Review

LG Watch Phone

We’re pretty certain the LG Watch Phone or GD910 will be a huge hit in Europe this month. Retail isn’t cheap, expected cost will be around £1000, and Orange has wrapped up exclusive rights for at least the near future. But a lot of technophiles will be plunking down their sterling for this James Bond exclusive. It was already a huge hit earlier this year at the Consumer and Electronics’ show (CES)

So what can you expect to get with this LG Watch Phone? Actually quite a bit considering its size. It reminds us of the old calculator watches of about 20 years ago. Only its face is just a screen at 1.4 inches diameter. Initial testing suggests that this small screen is remarkably easy to text and dial with average fingers.

You’ll also be able to do video calls with it thanks to a built in camera. Expect speed with this LG Watch Phone to be slow but really, look how small this thing is. What hasn’t been determined yet is the type of camera that you’ll get with it, VGA or mega pixel. You’ll also have Bluetooth, voice recognition, text to speech and a MP3 player. Quite a bit for such a small tyke.

As we mentioned, if you want to be on the cutting edge like James Bond, then it’ll cost you. But this LG Watch Phone really looks like a terrific phone for technophiles, although we wonder at this early stage about its overall practicality.
